Officers
Board Chair
Alan Torrie is President & CEO of Morneau Shepell Ltd, the largest Canadian-owned firm providing human resource consulting and outsourcing services in the areas of pensions, benefits and employee health and assistance programs. Prior to joining Morneau Shepell, Alan held senior executive positions over 25 years in Canadian health care and health and life science companies as COO of Retirement Residence REIT (Revera), President and CEO of MDS Laboratories and CEO of Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital.
He has served on numerous community Boards as past chair and Director of AMREF (African Medical Research and Education Foundation), and is currently on the Board of Appleby College. Alan joined the Trillium Board in 2008, and was most recently in the role of Vice Chair.
Board Treasurer
Nick Zelenczuk is the Senior Vice President and CFO of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), a professional investment management organization that invests the funds not needed by the Canada Pension Plan to pay current benefits on behalf of 17 million Canadian contributions and beneficiaries. Nick has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Nick is active on a number of boards including the CICA Canadian Performance Reporting Board, the Wellesley Institute and Opera Atelier. Nick joined the Trillium Board in 2008 and has served as: Chair of Resources Committee, Chair of Audit Committee, and Treasurer.
