Janet Davidson, O.C., BScN, MHSA., LLD (Hon)
President and Chief Executive Officer
Janet Davidson is President & CEO of Trillium Health Centre. She is a nurse and has a BScN from the University of Windsor and a MHSA from the University of Alberta. With over 30 years health care management experience in the voluntary, hospital and government sectors in Alberta, BC and Ontario, Janet is also a strong supporter of volunteerism and has spent over 30 years as a volunteer with the Red Cross/Red Crescent, including 10 years on the Boards of the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.
She is an Officer of the Order of Canada and received an honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University of Windsor. In 2009 she was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women.
Janet serves on the Boards of ECHO: Improving Women’s Health in Ontario, the Health Insurance Reciprocal of Canada, the Canadian Institute for Health Information and is 2nd Vice Chair of the Board of the Ontario Hospital Association.

Gopal Bhatnagar, M.D., FRCS(C), M.Ed.
Chief of Staff
Dr. Gopal Bhatnagar is the liaison between the medical staff, the hospital board and its executive team, and has overall responsibility for the quality of medical care provided by Trillium Health Centre. Dr. Bhatnagar also represents the hospital in the broader medical community.
Dr. Bhatnagar is a cardiac surgeon with expertise in ‘beating heart surgery’ and a successful career in cardiac research and education. He was head of Trillium Health Centre’s cardiac surgery division since its beginning in 2000. During this time, Trillium’s regional cardiac program has grown to be one of the largest in the province.

Ruby Brown, MBA, BScN,
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Trillium Health Centre.
Ruby Brown has recently joined the Trillium Health Centre as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She has over 25 years of experience across various health care sectors, including acute, long term care, community, and mental health in Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.
Prior to her arrival in Ontario, Ruby served as Vice President for the Alberta Mental Health Board. She has been the Senior Operating Officer for Vancouver Acute in the Vancouver Coast Health Authority, Chief Operating Officer for the North Okanagan Health Region, Chief Transition Officer for the Alberta Mental Health Board, and in administration at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton’s Capital Health Region following regionalization.
Ruby has a BScN (with distinction) and a MBA from the University of Alberta.

May Chang
Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer
May Chang is Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer at Trillium Health Centre. In her current role, May is responsible for Finance, Decision Support, Facilities & Redevelopment, Corporate Services, Risk Management as well as Legal Services.
May is a collaborative leader who believes in the power of teamwork and relationship building to foster growth and development. Her ongoing commitment to health care genuinely compliments Trillium’s mission to transform the health care experience.
A Certified Management Accountant, May graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (majoring in Commerce). May received a Faculty Scholar Certificate from the University of Toronto in recognition of academic work accomplished with High Distinction and has also received a lifetime membership to the Golden Key National Honour Society in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and excellence.
Prior to joining Trillium, May was the Chief Financial Officer for the Niagara Health System and her portfolio included Finance and Support Services. May provided leadership and direction for all major financial decisions. She was Chair of the Treasurer for the Board of Trustee and provided support to the Finance and Audit Committee (sub-committees of the Board). May has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at York Central Hospital.

Patti Cochrane
Vice President, Patient Services & Quality and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
Patti Cochrane is the Vice President, Patient Services & Quality and CNO at Trillium Health Centre.
Prior to her appointment in September 2006, Patti was the Associate Vice President, Performance Excellence and has had a wide range of clinical roles as Director of a number of health systems since the creation of Trillium Health Centre in 1998, and other roles with the Mississauga Hospital starting in 1994.
Patti is a registered nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Masters in Health Science in Health Administration and has recently completed her Canadian Health Executive program designation.
Her accomplishments over the years have been numerous and have included leading the patient-centredness initiative and the creation of an Ideal Patient Experience, the development of a new model of care (Non-Nursing Task Force), and a number of programs including the Hospitalist and Medical Emergency Teams. She also successfully transitioned the Medical Health System from a deficit to a balanced budget. In 2006, she won an Innovation Award from the Society of Graduates at the University of Toronto.

Norman Hill, M.D.
Vice President, Medical and Academic Affairs
Dr. Norman Hill is the Vice President, Medical and Academic Affairs. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, General Surgery, and has a Certificate in Health Administration from the University of Toronto. Norman is also a Surveyor with the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation and a Peer Assessor with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. On staff for 27 years, he has also been the Deputy Chief of Staff and the President of the Medical Staff Association.

Morag McLean
Shared Vice President, People Services & Organizational Effectiveness
Morag McLean is a highly motivated, results-oriented senior public sector leader with extensive human resources and organizational development experience leading and managing cultural change in large complex public service environments.
Since joining the Ontario Public Service in 1977, Morag has held a variety of senior level positions in the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Management Board Secretariat, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs, Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Government Services.
In June 2004, Morag was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister, Centre for Leadership and Learning (CFLL) responsible for fostering an enterprise-wide leadership and management culture. Morag’s leadership responsibilities encompass executive recruitment, talent management, learning & development, attracting & retaining youth/new professionals and administering an open and transparent public appointments process for agencies, boards and commissions.
In July 2008, in addition to leading the Centre for Leadership and Learning, Morag was appointed as Chair of the Public Service Commission of Ontario. The PSC’s mandate is to provide strategic enterprise oversight and direction for the effective management and administration of human resources across the Ontario Public Service.

Scott McLeod
Vice President – Strategy and Business Transformation
Scott McLeod has over 25 years of health care management and planning experience in a variety of heath-care settings, including hospitals and regional health authorities in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Scott joined Trillium in January 2008 as Associate Vice President Strategic Planning and Business Transformation. As a member of the Senior Team, he led the development of the new strategic plan which is now being rolled out in the organization. His current portfolio includes Strategy and Program Planning, Strategy Management, Research, Ethics, Communications and Marketing, Community Relations, Patient Relations and Emergency Preparedness.
Prior to joining Trillium, he was the Senior Director of Planning, Integration and Community Engagement for the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network. He also served as the Director of Planning and Executive Director for the Halton-Peel District Health Council, and as a Senior Consultant with the health-care consulting firm of Agnew Peckham.
Scott is recognized for having an open, collaborative and results-oriented approach to planning and facilitation. He brings: strong visionary strategic-planning and project-management skills; a commitment to continuous quality improvement; and, recognized skills in communication, negotiation and consensus-building.
Scott has a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
