A Message from our President and CEO

This year marks the ten year anniversary of the amalgamation of

two great hospitals – Mississauga Hospital and Queensway

General Hospital – into one fantastic health centre – Trillium Health Centre. In its short history, Trillium has taken great strides to become a leading Canadian health centre with a reputation for providing quality and safe patient care.

Our mission - Transforming the Health Care Experience - is to provide patients and families with extraordinary health care experiences free of the traditional silos, barriers and frustrations of today's health care environment. A collaborative journey, we are fulfilling our mission together with our community partners, corporations and donors – individuals and organizations that share our vision for innovation and quality patient care.

One of the main reasons I came to Trillium was because I was so impressed with our staff’s spirit and passion for pushing the envelope to provide innovative, quality, patient-centred care. The Trillium family takes great pride in caring and supporting patients and their families the way they want and need. The residents of Mississauga and West Toronto, as well as from across our region, entrust their lives to us and we, in turn, must provide them with the quality care they deserve.

Each year, more than 750,000 people turn to Trillium’s 6,000 employees, physicians and volunteers for their health care needs. Our patients are the inspiration behind the breakthrough thinking that has guided us in our evolution and innovation.
