Trillium Health Centre celebrates the contribution of its employees through a variety of events and programs held throughout the year.

Service Recognition

Employees who have served five years or more with Trillium are invited to a Special Recognition Tea where they are presented with a special certificate commemorating their five years of service. Employees who have been with Trillium Health Centre for 10 or more years are invited to attend a Special Recognition Dinner in their honour where they receive a silver Trillium pin. Employees with 15 years or more service can choose their own gift from a selection of choices.

Annual Tea and Barbecue

Every year in December, Trillium’s Leadership Executive Team hosts a Tea in recognition of the collaborative and dedicated efforts of its employees, volunteers and physicians. An annual barbecue is also held during the summer or early fall. Both events offer complimentary refreshments, entertainment and an opportunity for the President and members of the senior team to personally acknowledge individuals.

Key Milestones

Hospital awards and key milestones in the hospital’s progression are celebrated as a team with employees, volunteers and physicians invited to special events offered in a celebratory atmosphere.

President’s Gold Leaf Awards

Recognizing that Trillium boasts a talented team of staff, physicians and volunteers, the President’s Gold Leaf Awards program is designed to bring recognition to the great things we’re doing at Trillium. The awards recognize individuals in four categories for published articles in professional journals and consumer publications.

Trillium Awards of Excellence

Leadership in health innovation can only be achieved through a continuous search for better ways of delivering patient care and customer focus. Each year, Trillium invites submissions from both individuals and teams for the Trillium Awards of Excellence recognizing those who have ‘pushed the envelope’ to achieve measurable enhanced patient care and customer service, and who have demonstrated a commitment to publish and share the project with the broader health care community.

Nursing Awards of Excellence

Nurses across the organization are invited to nominate individual nurses or nursing teams for a Nursing Award of Excellence. The awards are given annually during Nurse’s Week in recognition of the recipients’ abilities to develop partnerships with others to positively impact the health of individuals, families, communities and the workplace.
