The site provides authoritative, up to date information on over 600 medical conditions, including over 150 interactive tutorials. Also offered is access to a medical dictionary, encyclopaedia, clinical trials, and drug information.
An excellent site from the world renowned Mayo clinic in the United States. Choose from an alphabetical subject list of diseases and conditions, and you will be presented with a comprehensive summary of the condition which includes description, causes, diagnosis, treatment and management.
UpToDate is an evidence based, peer reviewed information resource for both health professionals and patients. The section for patients provides clearly written articles on numerous health topics, as well as brief extracts of some material aimed at physicians.
