Congratulations to our 2012 Nightingale Award winner!

Roy Ostil, a registered nurse in the chemotherapy clinic at the hospital`s Credit Valley Hospital site, is the recipient of the Toronto Star 2012 Nightingale Award. The annual award is presented to a nurse who touches the lives of patients in a remarkable way. An oncology nurse for virtually all of his 24-year nursing career, Roy is known for his sense of humour, compassion, and his ability to calm the anxiety of his patients.

Mississauga/West Toronto (February 1, 2012) – Today Alan Torrie, Board Chair of The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre, announced that Michelle DiEmanuele has been appointed President and CEO of the newly merged hospital. In this role, Ms. DiEmanuele will be accountable to the Board of Directors for leadership of the new organization within the goals and directions established by the Board. Her main priorities will be to continue to lead the delivery of outstanding patient care to the communities of Mississauga and West Toronto while leading the integration of The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre. read more»
