to be honoured Friday at Trillium Health Centre Foundation

Centre will honour Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion at its
annual fundraising gala on Friday, April 25. Trillium will
announce permanent recognition of the Mayor who is a legendary
figure and an enthusiastic champion of Trillium Health Centre
and its predecessor, The Mississauga Hospital.
Mayor McCallion was the honorary chair of Trillium Health
Centre Foundation’s $36 million capital campaign - the
proceeds of which are making a significant contribution to
the $100-million redevelopment and expansion projects which
are underway at Trillium.
Come join us to celebrate with Mayor McCallion as she receives
this unprecedented honour at Trillium Health Centre Foundation's
19th annual premiere black-tie event - Gala 2008 - on Friday
at the Mississauga Convention Centre.
Members of the media are invited to a special press announcement
and photo opportunity with Mayor McCallion at 6:30 p.m. at
the Gala stage, in advance of the 7:30 p.m. formal program.

“An Evening Voyage” will support the Cardiac Challenge
fundraising campaign at a cruise-themed gala that includes
a martini-cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, entertainment,
raffle prizes, silent auction and dancing throughout the evening.
Our financial goal for the evening is to raise over $435,000
net to support the redevelopment of Cardiac Catheterization
Labs at Trillium Health Centre.
The goal of Trillium’s Cardiac Challenge is to raise
$15 million in 15 months to support cardiac care at Trillium
- from prevention and diagnosis to treatment, research and
education.
This gala attracts over 700 of Mississauga and Toronto's business,
medical and community leaders, including the Mayor of Mississauga,
local MPPs and other VIPs.
