$500,000 gift from
WB Family Foundation will improve access to cardiac diagnostic
services at Trillium Health Centre
MISSISSAUGA, ON
(April 25, 2005) – Sally Dobie, President, Trillium
Health Centre Foundation is pleased to announce a $500,000
leadership gift from the WB Family Foundation in support of
Trillium Health Centre's $30 Million Fundraising Campaign.
The WB Family Foundation’s
gift will be recognized in association with Trillium’s
non-invasive Cardiac Diagnostic Services located at the Mississauga
Site. Trillium’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre serves
over one million residents in Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke
and the surrounding region.
“We are delighted
the WB Family Foundation is providing support for the state-of-the-art
diagnostic facilities that are so vital to this community,”
says Ms. Dobie. "Cardiovascular disease is the leading
cause of death in Canada and this facility will provide us
with new tools to fight it.”
The WB Family Foundation,
a private family foundation in Mississauga, has distinguished
itself as a leading supporter of community organizations driven
by innovation and dedicated to excellence. Their gift will
expand Trillium’s cardiac diagnostic services department
which performs over 22,000 non-invasive cardiac diagnostic
tests annually. This newly renovated facility will significantly
improve access to accurate diagnosis, treatment and follow
up for cardiac patients.

a one-stop diagnostic area for cardiac patients,” says
Dr. Thomas Rebane, Chief of Cardiology. “The redevelopment
of this area will provide patients with a comfortable, patient-oriented
environment with access to the best cardiac diagnostic services
