Trillium’s Diwali Fundraiser set to sparkle on October 17!

Mississauga/West Toronto – Over the past six years, Trillium Health Centre Foundation’s Diwali Fundraiser has raised more than $1.4-million towards enhancing the state-of-the-art Fracture Clinic.  This year the aim is to raise the remaining $600,000 to reach the $2-million Diwali fundraising goal.

WHAT:  Trillium Health Centre Foundation’s 7th Annual Diwali Fundraiser
WHEN: Friday, October 17, 2008
6:30 p.m.
WHERE:   Pearson Convention Center
2638 Steeles Ave. E., Brampton

Over 900 corporate executives, medical professionals and community-minded individuals are expected for our celebration of “Diwali”, the South Asian Festival of Lights, in support of the Trillium Health Centre Foundation.  The event will have a glamorous setting, dazzling décor, exotic Indian cuisine, exclusive silent auction and exciting entertainment.  Enjoy the ‘Bollywood Step Dance’ troupe from Los Angeles and dance to the rhythms of DJ Jiten!

Trillium’s Fracture Clinic, at its Mississauga location, serves more than 23,000 patients a year. With a focus on preventive care, the Fracture Clinic is one of only sites in Ontario that performs routine screening for osteoporosis among patients with fragility fractures. This proactive approach will reduce the devastating consequences of hip fractures and improve the health of the community as a whole.

Please put Trillium’s Diwali Fundraiser in your editorial calendars now.

Dr. Vir Sennik, Chief Orthopaedic surgeon at the Fracture Clinic, and this year’s Diwali Co-Chairs, Dr. Jaya Chanchlani, Vinod Patel and Deepak Ruparell, are available for pre-event interviews.
