CANPAR’S JOHN CYOPECK ORGANIZES LARGEST CHARITABLE EVENT EVER HELD BY TRUCKING INDUSTRY

WHAT:    John Cyopeck, with the support of his good friend, Rick Gaetz, has organized the largest charitable event ever held by the trucking industry in Canada. The event is expected to raise $1 million for Trillium Health Centre. The Cyopeck and Friends “Delivering a Dream” golf tournament involves trucking firms from across Canada and is completely sold out. The funds raised by this event will be matched through Harold Shipp’s ‘Double Your Donation Trillium Challenge’. Mr. Shipp is a leading Greater Toronto Area businessman and philanthropist.

The funds raised by Cyopeck and Friends will help build an MRI suite for Trillium Health Centre’s new MRI.

PHOTO-OP:      Two large tractor trailers will be parked at the event. One trailer’s side will be completely covered with a sign announcing the amount raised by the Delivering a Dream golf tournament. The second trailer will sport a similar sign announcing Mr. Shipp’s matching gift.
John Cyopeck, Rick Gaetz, Mayor McCallion, Harold Shipp, Sally Dobie and Harinder Takhar will be available for the photo op and interviews.
