Diwali Fundraiser 2009, South Asian 'Festival of Lights' set to sparkle for Seniors Health & Wellness!

Celebrate Trillium Health Centre Foundation’s 8th annual Diwali event and honour our beloved seniors.

Trillium Health Centre Foundation's Diwali Fundraiser, the largest of its kind in Canada, has a new goal for 2009. The event aims to address one of the greatest challenges our generation will face – the health and wellness of our seniors.

Trillium Health Centre serves one of the largest seniors populations in Ontario. As the number of seniors continues to grow, we are preparing to meet their specialized health care needs. Many of our older patients struggle with chronic illness or multiple health conditions calling for complex care.

A bold, ambitious vision responds to the changing realities of health care today and Trillium envisions a seniors-friendly organization that helps our aging population achieve greater health, independence and quality of life. Community support of Trillium’s Diwali 2009, through participation or a donation will help bring this vision to life.

WHAT:   Trillium Health Centre Foundation’s 8th Annual Diwali Fundraiser in support of Seniors Health & Wellness
WHEN:  Friday, October 2, 2009
6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Pearson Convention Center
2638 Steeles Ave. E., Brampton

The recent opening of the new Inpatient Wing at Trillium-Mississauga is proving that our vision of imaginative, cost-effective, patient-friendly design works – it dramatically changes the way care is delivered! Now we need your help to refresh the existing spaces to provide truly inspired health care to seniors.

This means introducing new technology, specialized equipment and accessible, healing spaces that will greatly enhance the care and comfort of our elderly patients.

Diwali 2009 Co-Chairs Dr. Gopal Bhatnagar, Chief-of-Staff, Trillium Health Centre and Anil Shah, President, Ni-Met Metals & Minerals Inc., invite you to an exotic evening of South Asian fare, entertainment and dancing to the rhythms of DJ Jiten. Our emcee is distinguished community activist Jake Dheer, station manager at Rogers TV Dufferin-Peel and immediate past chair of the Mississauga Board of Trade.

Your involvement in Trillium’s Diwali Fundraiser will help us realize our vision. Together we will ensure our seniors the quality of care they deserve – the very best.
