Beaming with pride: community members and staff leave their mark on Trillium Health Centre's transformation

Trillium Health Centre has reached the halfway point in construction of its new, seven storey inpatient wing. To celebrate this “topping-off” milestone, Trillium is inviting community members, staff, physicians and volunteers to take part in an official beam signing tomorrow.

WHAT: Official Beam Signing to mark the Topping-Off of Trillium Health Centre’s New Inpatient Wing

WHEN: Wednesday, February 20, 2008

WHERE: Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga
100 Queensway West, Mississauga
Outside the Family Care Centre entrance - on the north side of the building - parking is available in the main parking garage

The 25-foot long steel beam will be put on display for all the members of Trillium's family and community to sign from 8 a.m - 8 p.m tomorrow. After it has been signed, the green painted beam will be lifted into the new wing’s penthouse in the coming weeks and will be installed as a permanent memory of the tremendous community effort that has gone into Trillium’s transformation.

Members of the media are asked to park in the main parking garage and then come around the north side, past Emergency, to the Family Care Centre entrance.
