Mississauga Tim Hortons support Trillium Health Centre and Hazel McCallion

63 locations to feature “I Heart Hazel” campaign on digital menu boards

Tim HortonsMississauga, ON – Tim Hortons is showing how much heart they have for Trillium Health Centre and Mayor Hazel McCallion by bringing the “I Heart Hazel” campaign message to in-store and drive-through digital menus.

The “I Heart Hazel” campaign challenges the community to demonstrate their love, appreciation and respect for Mayor McCallion – in other words, to show the Mayor some heart – by making a donation to the Hazel McCallion Centre for Heart Health in her honour.

“Tim Hortons is proud to support the Trillium Health Centre,” said Bill Moir, chief brand and marketing officer, Tim Hortons.  “Both Trillium Health Centre and Mayor Hazel McCallion have made a huge difference in the lives of the people of Mississauga.”

From now through February, all 63 Tim Hortons locations across Mississauga will including images of Mayor Hazel McCallion dressed in surgical scrubs, encouraging them to support local cardiac care.

Trillium Health Centre Foundation’s goal is to raise $15 million for the Hazel McCallion Centre for Heart Health, using the funds to upgrade essential medical equipment, build a more robust technological infrastructure, and initiate new programs and research to improve patient treatments.

“When someone requires lifesaving cardiac care, it is important that it is delivered quickly within minutes of home or work,” says Janet Davidson, O.C., president and CEO, Trillium Health Centre.  “The proceeds of this campaign will stay in our community, and we’re so grateful to Tim Hortons – a leader in community initiatives – for their partnership in advancing our awareness efforts.”

The “I Heart Hazel” campaign features a dedicated website, www.ihearthazel.com, where visitors can make their donation and learn more about the campaign.  Donations can also be arranged by contacting Trillium Health Centre Foundation at 905.848.7575.
