The province is helping the hospitals expand services following their recently-completed redevelopment projects by providing $25.68M in new operating funding. Credit Valley will receive $16.91M and Trillium will receive $8.77M. This investment will improve care and help the hospitals provide more services by supporting:
- The expansion of medical, surgical and rehabilitation inpatient services, as well as ambulatory services for surgery, emergency and pediatric care at Credit Valley;
- Credit Valley’s annual replacement equipment charge, to fund future equipment purchases; and
- The expansion of medical, intensive care, neurosurgical, mental health and rehabilitation inpatient services, as well as ambulatory services for urgent care, mental health and surgery at Trillium.
The Mississauga hospitals are two of 29 hospitals across the province receiving funds to expand services following a redevelopment project.
Expanding front line health care services is part of the province’s Open Ontario Plan to provide more access to health care services and improve quality and accountability for patients.
