Patients receiving treatment for cancer will benefit greatly from the funds being raised at Monday's 'Shave to Save' event at Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga.

Several volunteers will have their heads shaved to raise money to support Trillium Health Centre's Oncology Clinic.

This is the 5th annual Trillium 'Shave to Save' event.  In the four previous years, over $90,000 has been raised to support cancer patients.  This year’s goal is to surpass the $100,000 mark in total donations.

Event:   Trillium Health Centre's Shave to Save
Date: Monday, June 1
Time: 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
Location:

Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga
100 Queensway West, Main Lobby

Shave to Save was started in 2005 by David Tomaz, maintenance representative with Trillium, who has lost several family members to cancer.  David wanted to do something in recognition of all the help and care his father received as a patient at Trillium.  This event is dedicated to the memory of David's father, Venancio Tomaz, who passed away in September 1991.
