Hockey heroes promoting
flu shots - Majors protecting themselves from the flu with
the help of nurses from Trillium Health Centre
As flu season approaches, the Mississauga
St. Michael’s Majors are doing their part to protect
themselves, their families and their teammates - and to encourage
residents of Peel Region to get their flu shots.
Hockey players are well protected on the ice, but on Monday
the Majors will take off their shoulder and elbow pads so
occupational health nurses from Trillium Health Centre can
give them flu shots to protect them from influenza.

There is still plenty of time to be like the Majors and get
your flu shot. Region of Peel Public Health is conducting
Community Influenza Vaccination clinics at community centres,
malls and schools throughout Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon
until early January.
