Trillium Health
Centre Changes Site Names
Mississauga and
Toronto – As announced in June of this year, Trillium
Health Centre has moved forward with its plans to implement
new names for its two hospital sites.
Effective November 1, 2006, the Mississauga
Site at 100 Queensway West in Mississauga will become Trillium
Health Centre – Mississauga, and the Queensway Site
at 150 Sherway Drive off the West Mall in Toronto, will become
Trillium Health Centre – West Toronto. Services at the
two sites are not affected by the site name changes.
The new site names are the first in
a series of steps the hospital is taking to make sure patients
access the right hospital site for their care. As part of
this initiative, the hospital is also revising referral forms,
appointment cards and other key information materials provided
to patients in family doctors’ and specialists’
offices.
“The last thing you need to
worry about when you’re a patient is whether or not
you are attending the right hospital site,” says Ken
White, President and CEO. “These new designations are
one of the ways we are living our commitment to provide leading-edge
health care, and that starts with making it easier to find
us.”
These changes come as a direct result
of patient and visitor feedback, and reflect Trillium Health
Centre’s commitment to define the future of health care
in Canada by seeing the health care experience through the
patient’s eyes.
