Let your light shine at Diwali 2009 and support Seniors Health & Wellness at Trillium Health Centre

Celebrate the ‘Festival of Lights’ at 8th annual Diwali fundraiser

Trillium Health Centre Foundation's Diwali Fundraiser, the largest of its kind in Canada, has a new goal for 2009. The event aims to address one of the greatest challenges our generation will face – the health and wellness of our seniors.

Trillium Health Centre serves one of the fastest growing seniors populations in Ontario. As the number of seniors continues to grow, we are preparing to meet their specialized health care needs. Many of our older patients struggle with chronic illness or multiple health conditions and need complex care close to home.

Trillium's new strategic plan responds to the changing realities of health care today and envisions a seniors-friendly organization that helps our aging population achieve greater health, independence and quality of life. Community support of Trillium’s Diwali 2009, through participation or donation, will help bring this vision to life.

WHAT:   Trillium Health Centre Foundation’s 8th Annual Diwali Fundraiser in support of Seniors Health & Wellness
WHEN:  Friday, October 2, 2009
6:30 p.m.

The recent opening of the new Inpatient Wing at Trillium-Mississauga is proving that our vision of imaginative, patient-friendly design works – it dramatically changes the way care is delivered!
This expansion project has given us the chance to reassign existing space to new purposes. Now we need your help to refresh these spaces to provide inspired care to seniors. This means introducing new technology, specialized equipment and accessible, healing spaces that will greatly enhance the care and comfort of our elderly patients.
Diwali 2009 Co-Chairs Dr. Gopal Bhatnagar, Chief-of-Staff, Trillium Health Centre and Anil Shah, President, Ni-Met Metals & Minerals Inc., invite you to celebrate Diwali and enjoy an exotic evening of South Asian flair.
Jake Dheer, station manager at Rogers TV Dufferin-Peel and immediate past chair of the Mississauga Board of Trade is our distinguished emcee.
