Cardiac arrhythmias - disturbances of the heart rate and rhythm - affect thousands of Ontarians and are a common cause of death and disability. To respond to increasing demand in our community, the Advanced Cardiac Care Program at Trillium needs to expand the range of cardiac care available.

Proceeds of this year’s Pro-Am will be used to support the introduction of an Advanced Cardiac Arrhythmia Services which includes Electrophysiology Services (EPS) to map heart rhythms, and Internal Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD) to be implanted in patients’ chests to monitor heart rhythms and correct potentially lethal arrhythmias.

Since its inception in 1993, the Pro-Am event has raised over $1.2 million for Trillium's Cardiac Care Program. Scotiabank is the Lead Sponsor for the 11th consecutive year, led by Co-Chairs Bill Coyle and Ron Loveys.
