Trillium Health Centre declared one of Canada’s Top
100 Employers
For the second year in a row, Trillium Health Centre has
been listed as one of “Canada’s Top Employers” in
a book authored by career specialist Richard Yerema and published
by Mediacorp Canada Inc. The publication made the front cover
of the November 5th. Issue of Maclean’s magazine, where
Trillium is listed along with 99 other employers from across
Canada. Last year’s edition of “Canada’s
Top 100 Employers was the top selling business book in the
country in 2000, as reported by The Globe & Mail. Two
of the main qualifiers for being considered for the book
included: a. Being a company or organization that is a leader
in its industry in attracting and retaining quality employees.
B. Must not have laid off any employees in the past year.
According to the publisher, the book lists an amazing group
of employers that lead their industries in attracting and
retaining employees. These companies and organizations offer
truly exceptional employee benefits, working conditions and
perks. The book featured employers from every region of the
country and from every major industry. In choosing finalists
for the book, each employer was compared to others in the
same industry. “We’re delighted that Trillium
has once again been selected as Top 100 Employers in Canada,” says
Ken White, President and CEO, “It’s indeed a
direct reflection of the innovative measures our hospital
team has undertaken and continues to take in the area of
recruitment and retention of staff.”
The book is slated for release on November 26th.
