Trillium wins technological project award

Trillium Health Centre has won the International Education Exchange Award for a strategic and innovative technological project called the Dashboard.

Trillium received the award by the Medical Users Software Exchange (MUSE), an international organization that supports health care organizations.

Trillium Health Centre is the first Ontario hospital to receive the award in the history of MUSE awards, beating 40 other hospitals from around the world.

The Dashboard is an electronic display that provides users key information at their fingertips, allowing them to make effective health care decisions quickly and effectively.

Doctors and administrative staff use the Dashboard to monitor such things as wait times, average length of stays and patient satisfaction results.

Trillium Health Centre, Canada's largest community hospital, serves a population of one million residents in the communities of Mississauga and Etobicoke across two sites.

In addition to providing a comprehensive range of primary and secondary level acute care services, selected tertiary level services are provided on a regional and provincial basis.

These services include a regional neurosurgery program, cardiac services and complex musculoskeletal services.
