For Our Patients
Leaving Trillium after your stay
Check-out time (discharge) from Trillium is before 11:00 a.m. We suggest that a family member or friend take you home after your stay. If there is a patient in our Emergency Department who is awaiting admission, you may be transferred to our discharged patient waiting area while you wait for someone to take you home.
Please visit our Patients Accounts office, located at Emergency Department on the right hand side of the patient waiting area in our Mississauga location and 160 Appleton Building, 2nd Floor in our West Toronto location to pay your account. For more information about charges or billing procedures, please refer to the section called “Billing and Additional Charges” in this guide or telephone 416-521-4040 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
When you leave, please take all of your belongings, as well as any valuables you gave us for safe keeping.
Safe medication use
Most important, please ensure you understand:
- Everything about your medications; whether you need prescriptions filled. What should you stop taking; what you should continue to take; what the frequency and amount of medication you should be taking
- When you can return to your normal activities
- When to return for a follow-up appointment
We want to provide you with the best care. Your feedback is important to us. If you have a question or concern about your care, please talk to your nurse or another member of your health care team. If team members are unable to answer your question, please contact the clinical leader or manager where you are staying. If you need help addressing your concern, please contact our Patient Relations team who can help you. And if you are satisfied with your care, please tell us.
