Trillium Health Centre's Cardiac Services provide comprehensive, sophisticated cardiac care. While Trillium - Mississauga cares for patients' emergency and inpatient cardiac needs, Trillium - West Toronto offers a full range of outpatient cardiac diagnostic services and rehabilitation programs to patients recovering from heart attacks, open-heart surgery, and coronary angioplasty.

As a regional cardiac care centre, Cardiac Services sees patients from its surrounding communities of Peel, Halton, and West Toronto, as well as from across the province. Today, Trillium's Cardiac Services conducts approximately ten per cent of all cardiac procedures in Ontario. When Cardiac Services opened at Trillium in November 2000, it was the first comprehensive cardiac care program to open in ten years. Currently, it is only the second of its kind in Ontario to be located in a non-teaching community hospital. During a time of physician and nursing shortages, Trillium's program has the very best cardiac surgeons, anaesthetists and nurses with special expertise in cardiac care.

From prevention and diagnosis to treatment, surgery, rehabilitation and education, Trillium offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient programs and services to care for people with heart disease.
