Trillium's Medical
Clinics provide a variety of sub-specialty clinics where patients
can receive one-stop care in an outpatient setting, minimizing
the need for hospital admission. A visit to the clinic can
include an assessment by a physician, diagnostic work-ups
and treatment with a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physiotherapists,
social workers, and dietitians. Key services offered within
the Medical Clinics include:
Continence Clinic
Trillium's Nurse Continence Advisor
offers assessment, non-invasive treatment and ongoing support
for clients experiencing bladder or bowel difficulties. Self
referrals are welcome.
Low Molecular Weight Heparin
Patients with blood
clots and other conditions where blood thinning is indicated
are seen in this clinic. Patients are normally treated for
approximately five to eight days and are then referred to
their family doctor for follow-up care.
