Mental Health Day Hospital - Mississauga
Trillium's Mental Health Day Hospital offers assessment,
diagnosis and treatment for people experiencing mental health
problems. Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team.
The program focuses on providing support and education regarding
the diagnosis and treatment strategies. People attending this
program attend a variety of group sessions. Group sessions
include health teaching regarding medication, how to manage
anxiety, relaxation and stress management techniques and effective
relationships. The team strives to make clients more aware
of community resources that are available to them following
discharge.
Referral: Clients are referred through a Trillium
Health Centre-affiliated psychiatrist.
