Services - Splinting 
Splints are used
to treat a wide variety of hand and wrist conditions to:
- Protect the injured area during healing
- Improve or correct movement
- Reduce pain
- Assist with functional activities
Splints may be prefabricated
or custom molded to the hand. The therapist will discuss which
is best suited for you. They will also teach about proper
wearing and care of the splint.
OHIP does not cover the cost of splints. We will bill you
directly. The cost depends on the type of splint provided.
Many extended health insurance plans cover the cost of the
splint. WSIB will be billed directly if there is an active
claim.
