Program - Return to Work Coordination
The Return to Work Coordinator (RTWc)
works directly with the client, employer and WSIB to coordinate
and facilitate a safe and timely RTW. The RTWc obtains restrictions
(physical and / or psychological) from the client’s
treating health professionals and liaises with the employer
(via telephone or at a worksite visit) to assist in identifying
options for modified or alternate work duties. If necessary,
the RTWc will explore how to best modify the work environment
or the way the job is performed. Once appropriate duties have
been identified, the RTWc will devise and implement a RTW
Plan and monitor the client’s progress.
