Program - Psychological Services
The focus of psychological
services at the WSIB Specialty Hand Program is assessment,
diagnosis, and treatment. It is not unusual for a client to
experience feelings of depression, anxiety, sleep and appetite
disturbances following a work-related injury. Treatment options
may include psychological counseling and/or referral to a
psychiatrist for a medication assessment. Another option would
be referral to the Injured Workers Group Therapy program for
social support and guidance.
