Pre-Op Centre -
West Toronto
The Pre-Op Centre,
located on the 2nd floor at Trillium - West Toronto, offers
anaethesiology consultations, laboratory and diagnostic testing,
and linkages with the autologous blood program (donating your
own blood for your surgery) and community care services. It
sees almost 5,200 patients annually.
There
is a special emphasis on patient education for hip and knee
surgeries. The education team includes a physiotherapist and
an occupational therapist. There is also an extensive pre-operative
education program for all cardiac-related surgery patients.
