Women's Services
Trillium Health Centre delivers over 4,400 babies per year. We provide comprehensive care and teaching to all our families from pregnancy (prenatal), to having your baby (labour and delivery), to after your baby is born (postpartum), and follow up care (postnatal). Trillium is dedicated to giving your baby, you and your family the best quality of care.
Trillium offers Prenatal Registration Sessions, which includes an educational session and tour of our birthing services, to new and returning families expecting to deliver a baby at Trillium. In addition, Childbirth Education Classes are available to teach families how to care for their baby and themselves before, during and after your baby is born.
Trillium also offers an in-house photographer to capture memories of newborns, siblings and families. Furthermore, programs to provide breastfeeding support and follow-up care are available for mothers and babies after discharged from hospital.
Trillium’s Birthing Services include the following units/departments:
- Prenatal Service Department: offers a Prenatal Registration Session (required to have your baby at Trillium), Special Pregnancy Clinic, Vaginal Birth After Caesarean Section (VBAC) Sessions and Childbirth Education Classes.
- Birthing Suites: provides care throughout labour, birth and the postpartum period (right after birth).
- Obstetrics Unit: comprehensive care and education for our moms and their families right after your baby is born.
- Postnatal Service Department: breastfeeding support and follow-up care for baby and you after being discharged.

Intensive Care Nursery: Level 2 Nursery that provides care to newborns requiring intensive care supporting short-term ventilation of pre-term infants 32-weeks gestation or greater.
