Postpartum Unit/Obstetrics

Located at our Mississauga
location, Trillium's Obstetrics Unit features a 24-bed Mother
and Baby service. It provides antepartum care to women
of 32 weeks gestation or greater who require hospitalization
prior to birth. It also cares for women and newborns
for approximately 24-72 hours postpartum.
A Certified Lactation
Consultant is available daily during the day.
A new infant screening
initiative was implemented in 2005 as part of a new provincial
mandate.
