Redevelopment at Trillium

Visiting West Toronto

New Betty and Buster Lockwood Cancer Detection and Treatment Centre now open at West Toronto

Monday, August 18, 2008 marked the opening of the new Betty and Buster Lockwood Cancer Detection and Treatment Centre at West Toronto - formerly the Oncology Clinic at Mississauga.  The clinic opened its doors at 8 a.m. and welcomed patients into their redeveloped, spacious environment.

The clinic is located on the second floor of West Toronto, overlooking the new Trillium Way, which will open in late August.  Patients have been directed to enter through the new south entrance and take elevator “A” up to the second floor.

The cancer detection and treatment centre’s office hours and services have not been impacted by the move and will continue to be a.m. – 4p.m.  The clinic’s new phone number is 416.521.4110.  Their fax number is 416.521.4122.

New Urgent Care Centre now open

Trillium Health Centre’s new Urgent Care Centre is part of the hospital’s largest expansion and redevelopment project in history.  Phase One of the new clinic opened in its brand new space on Wednesday, July 30th.

The Urgent Care Centre is open everyday from 8a.m. – 10p.m.  Patients and visitors should enter through the south entrance.

This opening marks the completion of the first phase construction of the Urgent Care Centre.  Phase Two will come to an end in December 2008, at which point the clinic will be fully expanded.

The redevelopment of the Urgent Care Centre is part of Trillium’s largest expansion and redevelopment project in history.  The clinic will be enhanced to provide an even higher standard of care in more efficient and comfortable surroundings for our ambulatory patients. State-of-the art technology will blend with the amenities and ambience of a health and wellness centre, complete with skylight and natural materials. The new Urgent Care Centre is built around the concept of a circle: inclusive, unified and harmonious.
