Redevelopment at Trillium

Construction Update – Progress Report - February 4, 2008


Mississauga New Wing

The final section of floor slab was poured on the east section of the seventh floor of the West Wing this month. Structural steel for the penthouse arrived onsite in late January. Mechanical and electrical rough-ins continue on the ground, main, second and third floors.

Mississauga Renovations

The new roof-top air handling unit for the Cath Lab was installed this month. Mechanical and electrical rough-ins on the second floor and in the ceiling are now complete. Ceiling grid installation and finishing work is in progress. Finishing work, including prime painting of completed walls, flooring installation and acrovyn wall protection, is in progress.

Occupancy has been achieved in the main floor renovation areas, while minor deficient corrective work is in progress. The new Fracture Clinic will open on Thursday, February 7th.

Mechanical services work continues on the ground floor new services tunnel.

West Toronto

Structural steel erection and the installation of roof and floor decking for the Trillium Way are now complete. Preparations are being made for the installation of roofing and exterior cladding, with construction of metal stud parapets and exterior walls.

Installation and finishing of gypsum board walls and ceilings are ongoing in the main floor Urgent Care Centre phase one renovation area. Mechanical and electrical rough-ins are underway on the main floor for the new Urgent Care Centre waiting room. Structural steel framing for the new south entrance vestibule has been completed and roof deck installation will follow.

Renovations on the second floor, including installation of millwork and electrical devices are nearing completion. Concrete floors are in place for the third floor mechanical room as well as for the second floor Cancer Detection and Treatment Centre.
