How Can I Become a Volunteer?
Volunteer
Resources functions much like a Human Resources department
in its recruitment processes. Interested community members
are required to submit an application with resume (optional)
and two Reference Check forms.
Prior to being
placed at Trillium, volunteers must attend an Orientation
Session to help prepare you for your role. Volunteers
must complete Employee Health Safety and Wellness testing
and be cleared for volunteer placement. Finally, volunteers
will complete service-specific training with a Volunteer
Service Leader or designated staff. This includes a
tour of key areas, introduction to staff, and a thorough
review of your service description and duties. The process
takes about one month. All volunteers, other than summer
student volunteers, and 40 hour community service volunteers,
are expected to make a minimum 50 hour commitment.

information on how to get involved, contact
